Not sure what's going on, but here's my two cents.... I have a relative that used to work for Dan and so have had a lot of interactions with him, both personally (would also see him at happy hours of acquaintances) and professionally (purchased a few guns from them). Everyone says the same thing- Dan is like Michael Keaton "I'm an idea man Chuck!" He's good at conjuring up, but probably the worst businessman contrary to what he says and does. He could bankrupt a casino! So the only buys I'd place is COD. I wouldn't say Dan is maliciously dishonest, just kinda in his own world, and making bad business decisions and borrowing from Peter to pay Paul.

Many visionaries are like that. Good at starting a business, not good at running them.

If you didn't get your gun or money back, you might never get it now. Whole shop sold last month.

Not sure how. If you try to add anything to your cart on their website you get a 404 error page.

I would be shocked if they ever come back. Gotta wonder if someone was in negotiations to buy them and backed out when they found out just how much debt they had. And given their only patent was on the magazine and is expired not a lot of IP value there. I would expect eventually a 3rd party will pickup making magazines and they will probably be cheaper than what Coonan charged.

Maybe someone else starts making Coonan copies would be nice too!
