I can't get my safe open. The dial won't turn either way. Stack on. Not under warranty.

C4 should work.

Or an angle grinder, if you're afraid of the mess.

Locksmith would be my best recommendation.

OUCH - I would start with a call to stack on.

I did call stack on. Not under warranty now. They said call a locksmith or cut it open myself.

Just drill it and order a new lock through Stack on or online. Happened to a friend's safe and he ended up buying a replacement that was keyed and electronic. Took some time, he had guns he didn't want messed up and didn't want to buy a whole new safe. His was the $500 Menards one.

I had to put a new lock on my Cannon, it has a tamper bar that drops when the lock was removed. Lucky I had the door open when I did it or I would have not got into it.
I was also told to flip a safe on its top, climb up and cut the bottom out.

That sucks. Searching online there are some vids for various stack ons.

I know the chances of this helping are super slim, but if the lock is mechanical have you tried drowning it in something like WD40 and letting it sit a day or so?

Probably sounds dumb, but I would try the simplest things first assuming it’s a mechanical rotary lock. The WD as suggested. If that doesn’t help, I would try changing the position of the safe if that’s manageable. First on its side and then upside down. And check the rotary lock each time to see if it breaks loose. Just to see if that shakes anything loose or sets the lock internals back into alignment. Good luck!

I’m too old to try flipping the safe around. I have been pounding on it with a rubber mallet but didn’t work.

Also there are firearms that are not secured inside. I am going to talk to the locksmith again. Might go that route.
