Summary: geographic analysis reveals a surprising fact: rates of suicide by gun and rates of murder by gun not only don't coincide, they're almost diametrically opposed- something inexplicable by the presumption that gun deaths scale by gun prevalence.

So if we live in an area with large gun ownership less murders, that computes. However more likely to suicide?

I think the measure is more likely to choose a firearm to suicide, not more likely to suicide.
