I'm not disagreeing, but I feel like the couple of bucks my purchases generate make more of a difference to the smaller, local group.

And that's why I worded my response the way I did. MN Gun Owners is a worthy cause, but if for any reason you want to diversify (maybe you have a monthly donation to MNGOPAC set up); I would urge you to consider Gun Owners of America... They have been instrumental in overturning unconstitutional gun restrictions at the municipal and state levels all over the country, especially during this #Scamdemic as well as providing legal assistance to high-profile DGU cases (Kyle Rittenhouse...).
