I believe the commies have a holster that similarly functions. One carries without a round in the chamber, and unholsters in the same manner as this thing.

FWIW. Alien Gear Holsters is advertising a free mount, with a $99 order, for a holster, for the Holiday season right now.

You get something similar but with a real holster.

i have 2 magnets rated at 45 pounds each.

they will hold a stainless berretta 92 and a stainless 38 revolver easily.

have not used them for safety reasons.

If the magnets are strong enough to hold the pistol in place against all the g-forces a vehicle might normally incur, they are likely strong enough to eventually magnetize the slide, and perhaps some parts of the pistol's fire control group... can't help but wonder about the unintended consequences of that happening. :cogitating:

Using velcro would eliminate the magnetization concerns and also add some nice grip to the slide ;)
