Secondly T-Mobile has nothing to do with "WebSense" (now called Forcepoint) from what I can tell. Do you use your phone for work? Your employer may have forced installation of it on your phone.

I think it was Web Guard, not WebSense: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/plans- ... ent-filter
T-Mobile representative did acknowledge it's their thing after I read her the message on the screen.

If it was employer-related, I would know because I attend my employer IT meetings. My wife's phone does not have anything employer-related, yet it exhibited the same behavior.

I agree that passwords on this site not being encrypted is a terrible security problem.

I too have T-Mobile. The only time I've been blocked going to ANY site that has the word "firearm" or "Gun" has been when I was in the UM Cancer Center Hospital, and was using their Wi-Fi. As soon as I disabled my network connection and switched back to my 4 LGTE system, the blockage went away

This has happened many other times, when try to utilize a businesses open Wi-Fi.

Right now, I'm using my T-Mobile LG-3 phone using my home network, and have Zero issues connecting here, MNGunsite, Armslist, GUNSTOP etc..

A lot of businesses apply content filters when you use their wifi. That's more acceptable/understandable to me than a phone service provider doing it to customers. If I pay for cell service I expect full open access to the Internet.

All I know is that, unless I'm connected to my home I cannot get to this site.

Okay:

Your home internet is probably a different company than T-mobile

Your phone has two ways of connecting to the internet - the cell-tower system and wi-fi. (do you know how to switch between them? how to turn your phone wi-fi on and off?)

If you have wi-fi at home, your phone likely detects it and connects which bypasses T-mobile.

Be aware that out and about your phone is likely connecting to various wi-fi systems. For a lot of stores and public places they have a 'no porn' blocker put on. But it doesn't block just porn but lots of 'nasty' sites like white hate sites, sites that host videos of cartel killings, etc. A lot of these blockers put all firearms into the 'violent' category and block them

Finally, T-mobile itself might be blocking intentionally or unintentionally. They might have put a 'no porn' block on your phone just as a default that you need to turn off. A bunch of anti-gunners might have gotten together and falsely reported this place as a scammer site, and so T-mobile is blocking.

You need to go to a T-mobile store and ask for assistance.

Why? Unless you specifically connect to a wifi access point at some point in the past your phone is not going to randomly seek out and connect to available access points. If your phone has some type of option like that turn it off! Major security risk to doing something like that.

That is my beef. I did not activate it and when I look at the settings, it does not show that it is active. Double secret probation.

The ceo of T-Mobile is a giant liberal. Donates to all the liberal candidates and causes. I intend to pay my phone off and go searching for a new carrier. I doubt I will find one that shares my conservative interests.

Open to suggestions.....

Patriot Mobile?

Patriot Mobile is an MVNO operating on the T-Mobile (formerly Sprint) network.

There are only 3 now. Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. Anyone else is a MVNO.

A mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) is a wireless communications services provider that does not own the wireless network infrastructure over which it provides services to its customers. An MVNO enters into a business agreement with a mobile network operator to obtain bulk access to network services at wholesale rates, then sets retail prices independently.

The point is, mine (and others') was off the whole time, and yet I got blocked. I am convinced that this one time it was unintentional brief glitch on the side of T-Mobile, and it acted clumsily.

Throw it in the lake. That will solve it.
