My god dam phone started doing this crap today. Tried to disable it using the app on my phone but won’t let me. If I can’t disable the BS tonight, T mobile just lost a customer with 2 lines.

I seem to be out of the glitch. Never did get to yell at anyone about it.

Encrypt your traffic and prevent T-Mo/VZW/ATT/Comcast/Uncle Joe/President Harris from:
1) Seeing your web traffic.
2) Censoring your web traffic (if they can't see it they can't censor it...)

A VPN scrambles all the interwebs traffic on your device before sending it to your interwebs service provider. T-Mo only sees gibberish headed to Chicago where it's rerouted to a bunker deep in the Swiss Alps (going to Switzerland is important because most VPN providers will unscramble your data and hand it over to the 5-Eyes countries without a second thought; but Switzerland has the toughest data privacy laws in the world.), then your traffic is bounced around a little between Switzerland, Iceland, and Sweden before being unscrambled and sent back to Chicago where it gets forwarded on to the Digital Ocean servers in Clifton NY that host MNGunTalk.com

MNGunTalk only sees data coming from a server in Chicago and your Interwebs Service Provider only sees gibberish traffic being exchanged between you and the Chicago datacenter.

Get a paid level of Proton VPN (if you can afford a 2A hobby + "freedom-seeds" you can afford a paid level of Proton VPN).

In Android: Go to Settings, WiFi & Internet, VPN, click the gear icon next to Proton VPN, toggle on "Always-on VPN".
In iPhone: Ask your grand-kids for help.

I played with the settings in my account last night. All options to block were off. I saved the settings. Can finally see this web site on my iphone but not 300 blackout forum. T mobile will hear from me today when I get off work. Is ATT doing this crap? May have to change carriers.

You're missing the point. There's only 3 carriers and they all hate you. Get a good VPN that won't hand over your data under any circumstance.

Then (and only then) you can start shopping for a far cheaper MVNO so the three carriers have less money to donate to Marxist causes.

Help me understand the technology. Why would this affect some and not others on the same network?

Are there any downside risks with using a service like Proton?

Dam cell carriers can pretty much kill anything they want that goes to your phone, even VPN. The democrat censorship is picking up and my guess it will get worst. Anyone on verison or AT&T see this happening on there phones? Look what apple did a few years back on programs they deemed not good. They deleted apps without user permission. Then admitted they have a kill switch that they can use when needed.

Because the service offerings from any cell provider are so fragmented and random that no inconsistencies should surprise anyone. Different plan offerings over the years that people are grandfathered into that have different settings, features and requirements and may all run concurrently. And then different phones that have different OS and different capabilities add to the mix. For example, an iPhone settings and features can be much different than an Android plan, even for two people on the same 'plan' on the same account.

Got it. Thank you for the explanation.

You can't get to NorthernTool.com from your phone, it says "this website is not available in your country" or some such nonsense.

Might there also be issues with a site like GunBroker?
I recall Seismic Sam lamenting about the fact GunBroker would not let him enter a bid because he was indeed out of the country at the time.

This is strange. I have been getting blocked on and off. I haven't been able to figure out any pattern. Definitely when I am on T mobile network, but on that now and this morning with mostly good access. Yesterday was spotty. Anyway good information from you guys.

Am down at Cabelas now and access is fine. Starting to wonder if it could be tower specific or is T Mobile testing the waters doing this intermittent.
