A man arrested for possessing firearms in violation of Chicago/Cook County gun laws and suspected of planning a mass shooting proposed to his girlfriend immediately upon being released from bail, saying he had only brought the guns with him to Chicago for self-protection.

If guns are the problem how can HE be suspected of planning a mass shooting? OK I got it, he plans the shooting and his guns do the deed. All he has to do is get them close to where the shooting will be.
