When the story is "I heard from a guy who heard from a guy...". Yeah I think theories is the word.

Recent update on arfcom. Sounds like an employee, unbeknownst to the owner, was doing some AR upgrades (full auto).

Is this the story?

MINNEAPOLIS – A Burnsville man is facing federal charges for illegal possession of machine gun conversion devices and firearms as a felon.

According to court documents, federal agents learned Benjamin Zwack, 29, was selling 3-D printed machine gun “switches” or “auto sears” in March while employed by a federal firearms business.

An undercover agent went to the business and purchased 11 devices from Zwack designed to convert a semi-automatic AR-type weapon to shoot automatically.

Authorities searched Zwack’s home, vehicle, and storage locker and found more weapons and ammunition.

Yep;

The complaint references AT as the place of employment.

Am I understanding this right that Zwack was a felon working for this firearms business?
I will never apologize for being an American.

According to the complaint, (Page 2/ Item 3):
'...Zwack received a stay of imposition of this felony offense and was advised by the Court that he "not posses or use firearms, ammunition, or explosives."

Might that mean he is technically not a convicted felon due to some plea bargaining?
I'm not defending any decision to have hired this guy to work in a gun store.

Ok, that makes more sense. If I understand how a stay works, he wasn't a convicted felon and there wouldn't be a felony conviction on his record as long as he didn't violate the judges conditions, like to stay law abiding.

He received a "stay of imposition" which simply means he did not do jail time. Looking at the MN court records he is a convicted felon. The date of conviction was 11/23/2022 though. When did he start at Atomic? Possible he got hired before it showed up in 3rd party background check systems.

Ironically looking at his sentencing he was scheduled to serve 45 days in the Dakota County Jail on June 01, 2023. Guess he was in a rush to get there.
