current stockpile of ammo

Postby sochr000 on Sun Mar 08, 2009 12:54 am

So I saw Westhope's post in another thread and it sounded like a good idea. Just a "for fun" idea as to what everyone has sitting around, ammo-wise. I made it so you can update your post if you go out and buy up to another level. I counted reloading stuff when I tallied up mine, but only as far as a full bullet(if I only have 300 bullets, but enough powder to load 5k rounds, I only added 300).

If this goes in the ammo forum, then that works for me, or if people think this is dumb, well, too bad.

These continued boating accidents have me worried so I only have 10 rounds in my possession. Even though my 3 mags hold 15 rounds each I am scrambling to find 10 round mags for my 24 / 7. In attempting to embrace "the change" I have taken to scribing numbers into my brass and have them on file for the feds to see when they come a knocking.
The 2nd Amendment is the ONLY amendment in the Bill of Rights that specifies that it shall not be infringed.

all I have left is 1 box of .22lr and 1/2 a box of snake shot, unless you count shotgun then add 7 slugs and a 1/2 box of #6 bird shot ;)

I had a similar incident, upon refelction it was pretty stupid of me to have a 1500 lbs gun safe in a fish house. At least I was environmentally conditioned and made sure to use a biodegradable safe and ammo that will be broken down and once again part of nature by spring.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's lost his entire ammo stash to a boating accident. I'm pretty sure the river's current also took the ammo pretty far downstream so it may not even be where I lost it.

Mine fell off the back of the boat on the way over here. They'll need Captain Nemo and the Nautilus to find it.

Please provide GPS coordinates of your accidents. I am looking into SCUBA.
