Sending my FL application in Wednesday, how slow are they?

Postby John S. on Mon Apr 20, 2009 12:49 pm

I'm hoping to get the go ahead before our summer trip to Ohio in July! ;)

It says like 90 days, do they really  take ALL THAT?

I got mine a few years ago when we had FL residency. It took 30 days, but there wasn't
a frenzy 3 years ago like there is today. So the 90 days wouldn't surprise me. If you can do
the electronic fingerprints, that is supposed to help.

They are that back ordered, will NH cover, that is faster I believe. My florida Permit was applied for in person, then it takes very little time The nice lady at the counter said that with my receipt and my MN permit I was good to go in FLA only. I called and asked the issueing dept, and they said yup, with a prior permit and an in person ap, you would be good to go.

Nah, NH doesn't cover Ohio, actually not a lot really. Thanks, I'll cross my fingers. Funny, if I were a thug, this crap wouldn't deter me one iota! But, dang, we need tougher gun laws yup, that's the ticket!

I applied in December, still nothing... When I do call and check the status, they tell me that they are allowed 90 days to consider it a completed application, and then 90 days to process it. per statute it only states 90 days from the time it is received...

WTF?

I prolly screwed up anyway. The Fingerprint card has a block that say's "employer and address" I put Unemployed Disabled in there, THEN I read the envelope checklist it says LEAVE BLANK. I'm like WTF do you even have a space that say's Employer and Address for then.............................

They'll prolly say do another card, so maybe by Christmas huh?

They will definitely tell you to send them another card. That space is on there for people that are being printed for a job. I'd suggest you get another card done and send it to them ASAP.

Guess I'll be illegal then!

Why does MN honor Ohio permits but Ohio not MN permits? I wonder if it has to do with the choice to open carry OR conceal carry? :?
