wish to borrow small portable generator.

Postby 1911fan on Tue Apr 12, 2011 4:33 pm

I would like to borrow a small portable generator for a short while.

One of the girls who hangs with my daughter had someone try to steal her bike down at the U, in the process they jammed the lock and it needs to be cut off, I just need the generator long enough to plug in my angle grinder and cut thru the lock.

IF someone has one of those little campsite generators that would be greatly appreciated.

I am in the north metro, If possible I would like to borrow it tonight and return it tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

I don't have one, but maybe someone has a cordless grinder or gas chop saw.

Why not contact U of M maintenance dept and see if they can cut it?

I have a 8500watt you can borrow. It's got a wheeled frame, so technically portable. But not small.

I have one but I'm in the SE Metro.

If you want to make the drive, you can borrow it.

Ave send me a pm with number. It might work.

Re U maintenance. They said no. They need a proof of ownership bill of sale etc. The bike is five years old and used. They said no.

If it's a u lock you could try using a scissor jack to pop it open.

Got your PM. I've been trying to get it running; pulled it about a thousand times. It's not going to start. Sorry.

That's what they used on it and jammed it.

If anyone has a little camping genset that would reAlly be huge. Right now im looking at about five extension cords to get there.

Dave. Thanks for trying. I owe you a tube of Icyhot for the shoulder.

if you have a small air compressor, you can borrow my cutoff wheel. If you don't have a small aircompressor, you could use mine......but its not that small

Just cut the post off that it's locked to. That'll shut the U Maintenance Dept. up next time you ask them to cut a lock.
