Want to Borrow - Torque Wrench

Postby Inspiribomb on Wed Jul 20, 2011 9:47 am

I need to install a crank pulley on a 1997 Subaru Legacy, which requires 130 lb-ft of torque to prevent it from loosening up and damaging other stuff. Anybody have one they'd be willing to loan me for the weekend? Will not hold the owner responsible for my bloody and bruised knuckles...

Aaron,

Lemme see how high mine goes. It is not one of the new fancy dancy clicker ones just has a scale but it is a 1/2 drive so it should work just fine... I will let you know when I get home and if you want to use it you can swing down to the house and get it....

A breaker bar would probably do the trick as well...

That'd be great if I could borrow those, Don. Especially since you're only a mile or two from where I work :D

Red Locktite would be a good idea also.

I'd offer my set up, but driving to where I live wouldn't be cost efficient. :)

I forgot to check what mine goes up to. I'm not sure if it's my house or my parents house.
