Not tryin to Dis the Breed as they are sweet heart animals. They are known for many issues that will require many visits to the vet. Eye and skin problems and very oily coat. I have a Buddy that has one. Best dog in the world, I love her to death, but the issues are there.

they can have a lot of health issues, as mentioned eyes, skin, oily coat, ear infections, joints. both my dogs are rescue dogs (old english bulldog and a yorkie-poodle mix) but i would't adopt a cocker without being able to check lineage and the parents health checks.
my mother in law has had 5 of them (currently 3) and they have all been pshyco dogs and money pits due to health problems.

Loved all 3 that we have had but even from good breeders and all from different breeders I could have bought a nice new vehicle with vet payments. Over $3K just in eye bills.

That's my feeling too, but I told her I would ask.
My parents had a Cockapoo that was a great dog. Coal black and looked like a poodle that had been shot out of a cannon. After she died, they got a King Charles Spaniel that was nothing but trouble and BIG $$$.
My rule of thumb for dogs is the more mixed they are, the better they are.

Yep, when you get a mixed breed you lose many of the congenital problems.
