Yes, but, once you are in a position, you are locked for one year before you can apply for any further internal positions.

There are many positions that are offered in house before posting to the general public.

And, look at the upsides. With the above posted positions, you in theory work 50% of the year. You begin accruing vacation on the first day on the job (120hrs per yr) and you can buy an additional 40 hours.

And the discounts :pickme:

I wonder if Federal allows it's employees to carry on the job?

If they have the same policies at ATK, nope...

Dozens of people carrying in a mass production ammunition plant = no way to get insurance on anything. Too much explosive hazard.

Any high level IT positions? How about 20+ years as an IT professional? Servers, networking, custom software/scripting/database administration, you name it. Six figures though ;)

I would love to apply my passion to an industry that I am also passionate about!

This is just my impression, but the IT at ATK corporate is kinda screwy...

My experience is that IT is pretty screwy everywhere....

But, wow, a couple of those jobs are right up my alley. But I would have a hard time convincing the wife to move, and I'm not comuting to the cities. Oh well.

I checked on the IT jobs there too. Alas, no AIX SysAdmin positions locally, and MD is too expensive for me. Ah, well...
