I originally planned this setup for a second TV in our new home, but my wife and I agreed that a smaller soundbar/subwoofer setup was a better fit for the space.

Here's a list of what's included for $200:

Yamaha RX-V373 Receiver - http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-vi ... 3_black_u/

• 5-channel powerful surround sound (100 W per channel)
• HD Audio format decoding: Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio; Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio
• 192 kHz/24-bit Burr-Brown DACs for all channels
• High dynamic power, low-impedance drive capability
• 4k pass through
• 4 HDMI inputs, 1 HDMI output (monitor/TV)
• YAPO microphone for automatic room calibration of the system
• Direct USB input for iPod/iPad audio input

Andrew Jones is a famous speaker designer who engineered super high-end boutique speakers for Infinity, KEF and TAD before partnering with Pioneer for a few years to design value priced, great sounding speakers for people who don't have $20k to drop on hi-fi speakers. He's since moved on so who knows how long Pioneer will offer these models.

The receiver and SP51's were used a bit for background music, no crazy rap loudness, so they are gently broken-in. The receiver was run in my home theater for a while before I upgraded to a more powerful Denon model to drive my large speakers, the center channel is brand new in the box. The front 3 speakers are the most critical in terms of timbre match in a home theater, and these will blow away any sound bar speaker combo in both flexibility and audio fidelity at this price point. If you want to step it up, just add your choice of surround speakers and a subwoofer for a complete experience, or start with this selection which will provide great full range audio for music or movies.

I'm in Ham Lake/Blaine.
