Well I was liking the Clash as a daily carry pocket knife until last night. Last night I went to open it up and the blade didn't open all the way. Got to work today and opened it up to find the spring had snapped in half. Ohhh well it was a cheap knife to begin with.

11 bucks. I love these knifes. I have 2 of them and aside from the closing mechanism, I like them as much as my benchmade presidio.

I sense a tone of skepticism in your post.

Been carrying a Buck "Rush" for the last 15 years or so. I have a whole drawer full of knives that I have bought since, but this is what keeps going back in my pocket every day.

A cheap carry knife

Kershaw half-ton is what is in my pocket right now. Keeps a decent edge and blade has no dings after a year of constant duty.
Did you just buy that beautiful firearm, or are you trying to sell that piece of crap?

Mrs. C. also has a half-ton that I got her as a joke. She kept pestering me to get her an F-150 so I got her a half-ton instead. Turns out she uses it more than she would like to admit. She is not a gear nerd so the heavier weight with a moderate blade length make it comfortable without being to 'tacticool'.

I'll add to the Kershaw side, Ken Onion Blur. Picked one up from Sportsman's Warehouse when they decided leave town. Got it for half price back then. Only a few years ago did I start carrying it religiously, now I feel naked if I dont have it. Use it all the time, sharpen it once a year, great edge retention.

I have 3 Kershaw knives and have been very satisfied with them all. The Chives make a great pocket knife. My only issue with the Whirlwind and the one of yours is that it does not have the safety switch.

A cheap carry knife

Postby PhilaBOR on Mon Nov 04, 2013 9:49 pm

I like Spyderco. They have several models in the $30 range including Persistence and Tenacious. Thick blades, hold a good edge, lock up solid, grips fit my hands. You can unscrew the clip and reorient up, down, left or right. And I like the hole in the blade to open it.

The answer varies from city to city, town, township, county, etc. You need to check local ordinances to get an answer. It also depends on what kind of bladed implement you are talking about, as well.
