Anybody out here have any reviews or opinions on Smith & Wesson Model 5906s.

5906 is a great gun. That being said it is heavy and it not a carry gun. very reliable and accurate. They can also be found on the cheap.

Why is it not a carry gun? Most 1911's are heavier than the 5906, and I know a lot of people who carry them.

Recommend the ones with the Novak Type rear sight and not the uber huge adjustable version.
