L-3 Communications EOTech, Inc. (L-3 EOTech) has confirmed a performance issue unique to a specific part in Holographic Weapon Sight (HWS) Model 553, also known as SU-231/PEQ, characterized by a potential intermittent shut-off or a potential shut-down of the sight while under recoil after several thousand rounds. While this condition has been very limited in number, L-3 EOTech prides itself on producing quality products that our customers have come to depend and rely. As such, L-3 EOTech is supplying a voluntary, modification notice to our entire customer base. 1. Return unit for modification
2. Request kit to self-modify
