Hi-Point C9 -- 9mm

Postby centermass40 on Sat Jun 20, 2015 6:51 pm

I have fired over 1,200 rounds thru this gun and it is rock solid reliable. It has out performed all the other brands I have shot. Great trigger and good looking.

No Hi-Point has ever malfunctioned in my experience. Mind you, my experience consists of about 30 rounds.

As far as "Great trigger and good looking"...well... I guess both could be considered a matter of personal taste.

I was at a class last fall with a guy shooting a C9. He couldn't shoot 5 shots in a row without a malfunction all day even after the instructor looking at it, shooting it and lots of cleaning.

It left a bad taste in my mouth for them.

Weeks later, I'd heard that he sent it I to Hi Point and they fixed whatever was wrong with it, under their great warranty and supposedly it shoots great now.

That's my only experience with one. I want to like them, but still remember that.

How much did it cost? Brother has a hi point 9mm rifle he likes. Always functioned great. Been eying the 40 S&W rifle myself.

Explain what brands it has out-performed, and how specifically it has out-performed them. This requires more information if you're going to make that statement and consider it a review.

I had too many feed issues with mine and sold it. I know other people with the same model and they've had little to no issues.

I wouldn't buy another handgun from them but I've been considering one of the carbines...

I had a .380 years ago that my friend now owns. I never had a problem w/ it. It wasn't going to win any beauty contests but it did what I wanted for the time.
