Thanks for the reads, WWJD. I found out some pretty interesting stuff myself... Issued by 68 different military's. Still in use by some. Replaced in most instances because it couldn't, or wouldn't be made cheaper... I knew Browning was a good gun but, sheesh... Interesting stuff.

I picked up a used Blue Book at the last show for $5 bucks and was thrilled to read this:

"Hi-Power Nickel/Silver Chrome Finish - not to be confused with stainless steel (never offered in the Hi-Power), this nickel/silver chrome finish is different from the silver chrome finish released in 1991, gold trigger, checkered walnut grips. Approx. 11,609 mfg. 1980-85.
"Add 50% for circa 1980 Belgian model marked "Made in Belgium."

Man, If Gander would've just told me this, the whole process could've gone down a lot faster... :goofydance:

Ha! A much better pic. I know a good craftsman never blames his tools but man, am I a horrible photographer.
