I think my favorite part was when the self-professed anti called in to tell the chief his gun offender registry modeled after sex offender registration was a boondoggle.

Chief Knight should stick to topics he knows something about, like being a gigolo. It's what he does for the Brady Bunch, a **** for hire.

Is his royal highness a 5 star general yet, or did all the metal on his uniform finally get too heavy for his limp spine to hold up?

Perhaps a career change is in order. He'd make a great pig crap shoveler in Mexico.

What's the problem? The guys sounds really reasonable. Unless you actually know something about the subject. Lots of misdirection on the part of chief whatshisname. He claims not to be against "legal ownership of guns". While not definining the term, he tries to misdirect and talk about home defense then goes into more misdirection on the "gunshow loophole". He makes some vague statement about the ATF saying that gunshows provide access for criminals to get weapons. Nevermind that it's almost imposible to find crimes commited with guns purchased at a gunshow. This was exactly one of the primary points that shot down Paymers gunshow bill in the last session. Not to mention that his wet dream of a predator database is a real window into his mind(?). He defines "pro gun" as hunters, trapshooters and collectors. Nice. Followed by more misdirection. The McDonald case and Castle Doctrine are one and the same. In the final analysis, he's still an "A" #1 douchebag. The professor sounded more thoughtful and not prone to having an agenda as the other guy, I forget his name for the moment. I think it says something that Cottrel has connections with the NRA, yet no strong bias comes out in the interview.

I think you summed up Scott Knight very nicely. The man is a snake, slicker than the bacon grease in Strad's drain. He appears to be reasonable and intelligent. It's an act...he's got his head buried so deep into Helmke's posterior that one has to wonder if he's jonesing for a lobbyist spot post-retirement. The man is a disgrace to the words "public servant", and his personal mission is not to protect or serve. Tyrannize and violate is more like it.

If he put half as much energy into being a good cop as he does preaching against the evils of inanimate objects, he'd be amazing. As it is, he's a bag of hot air that can't be educated. He's willingly deaf to common sense, ignorant, and arrogant.

The son of a thousand fathers, all bas***ds like himself. It's no surprise to me though. As a Shako-peon, I'm qualified to say Chaska's always been kind of a screwed up city. :? ;)

Maybe not subtle, but accurate. ;)
