Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Roseville's a dangerous place. I'm pointing out that crime doesn't make appointments. It makes house calls. Just because where you live has low crime or the police want to tell you the crime is rare, what IF you found yourself walking somewhere in peaceful little Roseville on a Saturday night ans some guy stuck a gun in your face?

Would the right answer to be give the guy what he wants? Look for a distraction and access firearm? What? When you gave him what he asked for and he pistol whipped you or your loved ones would it be time THEN? Who knows. But the alert made me rethink some things again which is a good thing.

Do you carry Just in case? Or only when you think there will be a problem? Do you carry in your home?

Last year, in Roseville, 1 mile north of this, there was a daytime burglary which the female resident almost interrupted... that could have ended badly. They kicked in her back door. What if you'd been at home and your back door flew open. How COULD you respond with your daily gear unloaded and locked in the safe upstairs?

Truthfully, I'd LOVE to send my complete thoughts with this article to my in-laws... But they still wouldn't get it.
