People are going to die if you release the pictures go to war with terrorists.

Other people will die if you don't release the pictures go to war with terrorists.

The goal is to to try to guess which action will result in the fewest dead people.

The goal is to see how long we can string out a national "conversation" about something that is largely meaningless. YEP, the military is back to work and the media/politicians need to make "clout" while they can....."Do not let a good (insert favorite) go to waste!"

In the end it's not going to affect my day if they show it or not, well - maybe 2 seconds of it if they decide to release it because I'd have to look - then wonder why I did.

The footage of Hussein being hanged got out, was it a huge deal? I guess I don't remember because it was never made an issue!

Probably for the guy who took the video. I think there were some "unintended consequences" for him.

Just maybe some of the fear of SEALS is working on these bastards:

Saudi police: al-Qaida member surrenders

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia says an al-Qaida member on the kingdom's most wanted list called from abroad and turned himself in.

Interior Ministry's spokesman Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki said in a statement Wednesday that Khaled Hathal Abdullah al-Atifi al-Qahtani contacted the security authorities from an undisclosed country and expressed his wish to come home.

Al-Turki did not say when al-Qahtani was brought back to the kingdom, but many from the group fled to Yemen after a crackdown.

Al-Qahtani was reunited with his family and his surrender will be taken into consideration while looking into his case, Al-Turki said.

Al-Qahtani is apparently the first al-Qaida operative to surrender after its leader Osama bin Laden was killed on Monday.

Sorry if you interpreted my observation of world events as a "bring it on" moment. I think it's stupid to read things with a prejudice like you demonstrate here. I don't recall the Berlin Wall coming down during Carter's administration or as a result of anything he did. All of events occurred as a result, at least in part, of our use of force or at least the belief that we would do so. those Neither can I think of anything Clinton did that might make Gaddafi give up his nuclear program or even shut him up for a while. Just observations. If I wanted to put more time into it I could come up with more examples. Besides, I don't see this as too different from dealing with animals. Someone is going to be in charge. I would prefer that it is us.

I see that the estrogen levels are running high again today.

Impressive display of testosterone. Doesn't work on me, but I'm sure the ladies love it.

Maybe in 5-10 years, it might make sense. Right now, it's just too inflammatory.

Let the doubters debate. Not getting closure hurts as well.

Good article, and it does have a good point...
