Lt. Col. Oliver North says he sees no need for President Barack Obama to release the photos of a dead Osama bin Laden because they could be used against Navy SEALs involved in the attack in international court. North also told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday he believes that burial at sea was the right move.

"If I were one of those U.S. Navy SEALs on that operation, I would not want to have evidence that they would use against me in some kind of international criminal court,” North said. “And you and I both know that that's a kind of thing that happens in this crazy world we live in. So, not releasing the photos of bin Laden quite frankly, I think to satisfy the — and interest of a lot of different people, when we know he is dead, and there is no need to go any further about it, I don't think you need the photos.

All of the information, pictures, and details on the raid should become public as quickly as possible. Secret or classified data can be reacted and released at a later time.

Are you effing serious? The "enemy" already hates the U.S. and a photo of another dead terrorist won't change anything. Might as well just move to China if your logic is this flawed.

I want to see a photo of OBL just before he was shot -- the "oh, crap" expression on his face and the puddle of urine at his feet.

I have to say I don't see what good it would do anyone to put the photo out there.

Stop giving this **** so much attention. We killed a big rat. There are more rats to kill. We'll drown them in a bucket like the rats they are.

I think its partly a big publicity stunt to keep this thing revolving in the media. Its a sad takeaway from the important facts.

1. Our military gets and got the job done. All credit goes to them. Zero goes to whoever the politician was who gave the OK. Rep or Dem makes no difference.

2. A scrawny, evil, son of a whore got what he had coming to him, and there will be some lonely sheep tonight because of it. Good riddance. End of story. Don't care what drama gets drummed up afterward.

The whole "is it ok because they did it first?" is just pacifist nonsense. I still haven't found out what it was that "provoked" such a massive terrorist attack like 9/11. Therefore, I have to believe we did not, in fact, provoke anything. Which leads me to the logical conclusion that not doing anything, doesn't work.

That logical conclusion applies to many other things in life also, as it turns out.

So let me get this straight. If you're opposed to the release of the photos, you're a pacifist?

It's complicated.

This is actually part of his strategy.

Then, replacing the obviously, below average, Robert Gibbs with the pathetically inadequate Jay Carney was a brilliant move.

I never said they had to release non-redacted information. It's not particularly hard to blackout the faces and other sensitive/classified data. It's not like these SEALS won't be writing every detail of this mission in memoirs once they're out of the service...

Actually, yes. Look, over here.... I'm waving something shiny!

The big question in any sleight of hand act is: what *don't* they want us to see?

It's actually a very small percentage of the special ops community that writes books and does the chest-thumping routine.

Carry on with your little argument about whether or not you should get to see photos you have no right to see. Keep in mind that the terrorist organization that Bin Laden headed has officially acknowledged his death.

Also keep in mind several nations have made statement saying that such an operation was an assassination and illegal.

If you (everyone acting like you have a right to see the damn pictures) want to see someone shot in the face so damn bad, go join up and do it.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.
