My eye roll was geared towards the vigilante comment, not the missed shots. My phone has some issues with putting the smileys in the right places. *fixed it.

Yeah, and Kayakbiker had to weigh in. I got a little snarky in my response, but I swear it wasn't my fault.

What are the odds of a reporter quoting a police officer quoting the victim correctly?

His address is public record.

I think a get-well card might be a better idea. He was pretty badly beaten.

I won't give out his apt. #, but it'll get to him.

Again, I am sure somehow this will not make the annual report of Defensive Gun Uses required to be reported annual to the state by each Sheriff.

My sister told me about this. Glad he was able to fight back. I'm now doubling my efforts in training.

Mail him a letter requesting that this incident be reported as per the law.....if he is reminded, I am willing to bet he will do it.

My favorite line from the story:

"He had just parked his car in the parking lot," [ Police Lt. Mike ] Fossum said. "These guys blitzed him. They just started kicking his ass."

I NEVER get to talk like that to the press...
