Banned! Wow, what a threat.

If I had a nickel for every forum I've been 'banned' from....

In any case, ANYone can get back in; I've done it, personally, to a couple of putzs on the other board. And if someone as techically inept as me can do it, welll...
Hold and die.

Learn from me, lock them up when you leave the house. It only takes a second. I didn't do it and I am paying the price and I deserve to get bashed."

Also i read that article and the Scott guy said "they pried open the door" so yes its forced entry! come on guys, the dude just got stolen from him $1000s of dollars worth of guns he held dear, just think of if that happened to you. Would you like to go on the web and see people you dont know bashing you for no reason? The guy prob only did the interview because he thought the exposure might help him get the stuff back idk. Im on his side

Ever heard of libel? I hear reporters deliberately keep recordings of people so they're not misquoted. The ATF regulates all firearms if you didn't know...having a short barrel or a folding stock does not make it a machine gun. It's also not a MP40 if it's semi-automatic.

Where in the article do you see the statement that the door was "Pried open"???

Maybe I should just leave a custom .45 sitting on the dash of my car and expect sympathy when it's stolen, and I tell the media it's regulated military style weapon.

Edit:
Articles that say the door was either kicked or pried. They also say they it was a blank gun (described as a PROP), but then go on to describe it as a machine gun which is regulated. Also a picture of Scott with his stolen weapon before the incident:

It might be a non-functioning copy of a machine gun. Looks cool tho :)

I'd almost rather have that Sturmgewehr 44.

I definitely would rather have the StG 44!

I gave up long ago believing everything the media (especially the star and sickle) puts in the news.

also i know that the ATF regulates all guns, but some are prob keep a closer eye on then others, if its a live firing Mp40 (wich i think it is) then that would be one of those guns.

If it's a live automatic MP40 which was just adapted to shoot blanks it's much more valuable than the estimates he gave to the press... If's it's a prop gun it's not regulated by the ATF and the guy is a moron:

http://www.a2armory.com/mp40.html <-$500 Prop gun... Probably costs a bit more if you get a blank or propane firing model.

I'll look into this more and try to find out what this guy actually had stolen.

To clear the air about what was stolen, it was an Orion Arms marked semi-automatic SBR, most likely manufactured by Schoessler's Supply Room as the SSR40. These sell for 3000-3600

There is a 1000.00 reward for info leading to the recovery of these firearms

Yep. I was ordering a replica of an FG42 a while back and as soon as I gave my state as Minnesota the sale came to a screeching, sickening halt. The guy had a lengthy explanation of the issue, but I don't recall what it was. I don't think they are illegal here, you just can't have one shipped to you. I've seen tons of them at gun shows and in stores. They were able to ship anything that was a replica of a pre-1898 gun, but not anything after that.
