I read a statement by the murdered Marine's wife yesterday. She said the rifle that he was supposed to have been holding was dropped there by the SWAT team. She said he did not own an AR 15 rifle. SWAT said they would investigate whether that was true or not. They didn't deny it.

If it is true, that the swat team shot an unarmrd marine hero in his own home... Well I hope AZ has the death penality.

They do, but I'd wager a month's wages that the death penalty won't be considered in this case.

It's about time some some jackass cops did get put on death row. I spent the last half hour googling articles on it and from what I read there was no call for SWAT. If you need to search the house and he's working a regular shift and he's the reason you need SWAT, SERVE WARRANT WHILE HE'S AT WORK. This is not rocket science. If it turns out they murdered him under a blue cloud, then they need to go to deathrow.

The police have gone off the deep end. They think this is Mogidishu or Beirut and it's just fine showing on a door step wearing BDU's and tac vests. How about just knocking on a door and asking the folks to kindly step outside.

Start taking the cost to litigate this stuff out of payroll and retirement. Make the good cops hurt a little and they will start policing themselves.

Saying "some" implies it is the norm, rather than the minority.
I don't know, won't ever know, what really happened in this case, but I hope someone eventually finds out the truth and puts whoever was in the wrong, in their place.
Well, dude is dead, so if he was in the wrong, too late. But if the officers were wrong, there needs to be some serious **** done down there.

This is beginning to stink to high heaven & the stench is starting to make me rather sick to my stomach.
Am being reminded of Ruby Ridge. Apparently this scenario might even be worse.
Both incidents (plus the Waco fiasco) happened during the "reign" of an absolute freaking liberal. Is there any coincidence?

Unfortunately I don't find that surprising... The police department would never want to wreck their 30+ years of justifiable shootings. :(

Did anyone else notice how the police spokesman refers to the SWAT team members as "Operators"?

Scott had a concealed-weapons permit for his .45-caliber pistol but not for the .380-caliber Ruger that medical personnel later found in his pocket, homicide Detective Barry Jensen testified.

In Nevada you list your guns on your permit.

This is supposed to reduce crime.

They talked about him having Morphine in his system as if he was a drug user, and how he was being held up by his girlfriend as he "stumbled" around the store. CostCo has also apparently "lost" or had "issues" with the video surveillance that day.

This entire thing stinks to high heaven.

I was in Belfast last year, and there was a drunk getting booted from a bar for hitting a bouncer. He started lipping off and took a swing at one of the half-dozen police officers that were taking him away. They immediately dog pile on him, and all of them are getting in kicks and punches. The funny thing was the guy with the MP5 who was standing back a bit runs up to the pile, holds his MP5 up in the air so it doesn't get involved, and starts punching into the pile, too. The drunk was so thoroughly subdued by that point that I can't imagine any justification for this final officer to join in like that, except that he was a punter who just wanted to get in some licks. The way he was holding his MP5 up in the air like that, out to the crowd, it would have been easy for someone to just take it off of him. Perhaps I should have offered to hold it for him...

I'm sure they were using frangible bullets so they didn't have to worry about hurting any innocent people while the sprayed n' prayed.
