Where did you get that information? I'm asking because Schoessler's Supply Room also made a BFONG (Blank firing only non-gun) that matches the PROP description given in the paper pretty well: http://www.reenactor.net/forums/?topic=48.new

My guess would be that local LE and the victim have contacted all local gun shops to hopefully recover them, keep someone from trying to resell them. I wouldn't doubt it if they gave serial numbers in order to properly track these things down.

This thread is unreal, can't believe how tripped up people are getting over 'details' that are so unclear that nobody clearly knows the story. Reminds me of dealing with the underwriters for my mortgage, look at the big picture here.

Guns were in a locked home and stolen. I'm sure he regrets not locking them up, doesn't mean he needs to get tore apart by a bunch of people that truely don't know the story, or which story to believe.

Nobody should have their property stolen. My contention was that it's readily apparent this guy ran his mouth off to the media about how his MACHINE GUN was stolen when it's not even a machine gun or even an MP40. If they published incorrect information, it's his responsibility to contact them and have a retraction made as he's the moron who spoke to them initially.

I find it a little bit surprising that all these "new" folks appear to defend this guy... Was this guy one of your Bros on Stormfront.org or something?

Yeah I'm an @#$hole but I don't appreciate anyone who has a part in propagating inaccurate or dis-ingeniousness news about firearms. I'm sure everyone would be rushing to my defense if I left my AR-15... I MEAN FULLY AUTOMATIC M-16!!!! on my screened in porch and it was stolen.

because there's clearly something to defend that your not understanding.. And again with the Machine gun thing, the MP40 is known to the world as a Machine gun when ya see it in movies most people are like "oh there's a machine gun" people are not like "oh, there a semi- auto SBR" most people don't know what the heck that is! So being the MP40's nomenclature is Machine Gun that's prob why they put that term in article, and the main reason for the article seems to be to get people looking for it or keeping an eye out for the stolen guns so that would be the best term to describe the gun to the public (even tho its not the right one) plus media prob don't now any better.
