Oh, for cripes sake. Are you serious!?

I'm actually more surprised we haven't encountered the "flash rob" phenominon yet (or have we, and I just haven't seen?).

The reason I pricked my ears up about the Flash Mob thing is that we've had videotaped assaults of cyclists on the Midtown greenway and in St. Paul. The video was posted on You Tube and lead to the arrest of the idiots...they put their names on the titles of the video.

Warning...watching it will piss you off and you'll see the danger here...

Heres a link to the video on a City pages blog. http://blogs.citypages.com/blotter/2009 ... s_prob.php

Here's reaction on a local Bike Forum: http://dev.mplsbikelove.com/forum/viewt ... &start=210

Another link to just the video http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xb6wm3 ... from=embed

There's only about 6 'Youts' involved but....you're going to be appaled by the attitude that knocking someone off a bike and into the curb is 'Funny'

Warning: If you don't want to get pissed off...don't watch the video.

The reason I mention North Minneapolis is that I toured the area the day after the storm and there's going to be a lot of suffering up there.....more than usual.

What amazed me was how big an area the damage covered. I ALWAYS avoid North Minneapolis even during the day...whatever problems they've got going on up there the tornado is just going to make it worse...Thanks to whoever posts the 4th precinct weekly crime reports here...I do read them and it's one or two notches worse than the 3rd precinct.

My guess is that in Minneapolis we'd see "Flash Rob" before we'd see 'Flash Mob" where the 'Youts' hit a shopping mall or a Best Buy or a Target instead of a neighborhood and it's residents.

If 'Flash Mobs' become a trend I wonder if there will be an IDPA course of fire that has 30 humanoids waving 2x4's and no cover. :o :o :o
