Just thinking out loud here, about the "data" showing that crime is going down. Could it be that there's some manipulation of the "data" or even some lack of reporting in certain areas? I know this is anecdotal, but on Friday I talked with a St. Paul police officer who was required to work past the end of her shift because, in her words, "The city is going crazy and no one is allowed to go home" .That, and all the other anecdotal reports I'm hearing seem to be saying that something is going on in contradiction to what the official "data" is telling you.
