I think we should ban banning.

Meanwhile, police are pleading with parents to take replica guns away from their children.

How about pleading with them to stop engaging in real criminal behavior?

Dean, how about getting in line here, and addressing the real problem? Kids these days are subjected to video games that encourage them to *kill, kill, kill*, carjack and victimize others. Don't you get it? THOSE ARE THE REAL PROBLEM! We need to ban all forms of violence in our society. Ban drugs. Ban alcohol. Ban guns, Rambo knives, and any other knife longer that 3 inches (who needs a knife longer that this?), Ban violent video games, Ban violent thinkers, Ban violent thoughts, Ban Satan, and BAN anyone who has the audacity to call that preacher of Obama's a RACIST.

Don't you see? Don't you get it? Since you are part of the problem, let me SPELL IT OUT - It's about time we all "just got along" and did something about all these crazy things people are doing to hurt themselves.

Thanks to all of you here - you "right winged gun nuts" as my liberal former legislator called me the other day, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.... YOU AND YOUR curse-ed COMMON SENSE. It is *that* which we need to ban, so that our utopian society can flourish.

BAN COMMON SENSE!

Blaming video games is the same as blaming guns. Its parenting that is to blame. The parents are who should determine what they play, if they can handle violent video games. They are the people who should be the kids role model and be a good one. I have no gripes about most of the violent video games, heck, I bet I'd play them with my kids if I had them! That would be parenting, being able to teach them right from wrong while having a perfect example.

Jon, I think the key word you are missing here is "facetious"
fa·ce·tious /fəˈsiʃəs/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[fuh-see-shuhs] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–adjective 1. not meant to be taken seriously or literally: a facetious remark.
2. amusing; humorous.
3. lacking serious intent; concerned with something nonessential, amusing, or frivolous: a facetious person.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Origin: 1585–95; facete + -ious; see facetiae]

—Related forms
fa·ce·tious·ly, adverb
fa·ce·tious·ness, noun

—Synonyms 2. See humorous.

I disagree Jon. Parenting is NOT the problem (well, good parenting certainly helps), but the real problem is that some people are CRIMINALS. PERIOD.

A friend of mine's brother was a politician... and a bank robber. He didn't need the money, he gave it to charity... no bull. I guess parenting in his case did eventually work because he gave himself up, citing that "he couldn't quit".

Inside the Criminal Mind Stanton Samenow
Dr. Samenow's three decades of working with criminals have reaffirmed his argument that factors such as poverty, divorce, and media violence do not cause criminality. Rather, as Samenow documents here, all criminals share a particular mind-set--often evident in childhood--that is disturbingly different from that of a responsible citizen.

I think I am offended, and must demand an apology or I will be even more offended.

I am so sick of hearing about this kind of crap and how everyone says that "This kid would never do anything like this" GROW UP

2. Carjacking
3. Menacing
4. Evading arest
5. Att 187 of a Police officer

This sight is full of people that just go with the flow, why doesn't anyone want to rock the boat? [sarcasm, I think everyone here does just fine with rocking boats and what not]

Ha! I will rock a boat or two but only Sailors and Marines are dumb enough to stay on it. The Army makes the Air Force fly us to where we need to go.

See what you made me do... I had to take a cheap shot at the other branches. Now we are going to have pages of hurt feelings.
