Hell yeah! Get some!

Man, 77, Fends Off Armed Robbers With Sledgehammer

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 77-year-old Minneapolis man was determined to fight off four armed robbers recently. He was so determined that he fended off the criminals with a sledgehammer.

Roger Krier was working in his garage around 5:30 p.m. recently when he was attacked. Krier said he never thought about not fighting back.

I've always known that type of hammer as a single jack rather than a sledge but in any case, it worked. When I heard the term "sledgehammer" in this context, I thought of the movie "Streets of Fire" and the fight scene at the end. It was not a great movie but the sound track would have been good.

Holy cow! That guy had a whole hardware store full of tool in there. But a sledge, I believe is generally a hammer that requires two hands for operation by a normal guy. I would have called that BFH, or maybe a BMFH at the most. :D But, still, Nice job.

Again see: Gran Torino (the scene where he is explaining to the kid where he got all his tools)

I've seen it. Did you watch the video of the interview with this guy? He must have had a couple dozen shovels, half a dozen scoop shovels, a dozen actual sledge hammers. This guy could do some serious body burying if need be. Ya, Eastwood had a nice practical collection of tools in Gran Torino, but as far as sheer quantity, he's got nuthin on this guy. :D
