WEAP---Carry a Weapon w/out a Permit / DWI / Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle / Open Bottle

With the last one. A 4 in 1 Stop, gun, Open Bottle, drugs, DWI. That one was hard to top.

I have noticed that the Crime maps now have a lot more on them than the Text write-ups. Seems they are being lax in reportig the news. The house on the end of the block has 9 (22 rimfire) bullet holes, never saw report on that one. Daughter underage probably gang member, PO'ed somebody.

Police seeking information on luring incidents

February 28, 2012 (MINNEAPOLIS) The Minneapolis Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit is seeking to alert the public and gain the public’s assistance to provide any information regarding two instances of an adult male exposing himself to young females and a third incident where a male made an overt attempt to get a girl into his vehicle.

On Monday February 13th at 8:30 a.m. in the area of 11th Street North and Van White Memorial Boulevard North a nine year-old girl who was waiting at a bus stop was approached by an adult male who exposed himself while committing an indecent act. The girl provided officers with a suspect description and vehicle description.

On Tuesday February 14th at 8:00 a.m. a male with a similar physical/vehicle description approached a 15 year-old girl waiting at a bus stop in the area of 18th Avenue South and 27th Street East. The male attracted the attention of the girl and again was seen exposing himself. The male continued to stay near the girl for about a minute even though she started to scream. He left the area when other kids approached the bus stop.

On Friday February 24th at 8:30 a.m. near 22nd Street East and Oakland Avenue South a 12 year-old girl was approached by man in a vehicle, again at a bus stop. In this case the male stopped by the girl, stared at her, and then yelled at her to get in the vehicle. When the girl stated she would not get in the vehicle the male said he would come get her and then got out of the vehicle. The girl ran from the area and the suspect followed her in the vehicle until she cut through yards to get away.

Investigators believe the same man is responsible for all three of these cases. In each instance he was seen driving by at least once before he approached the girls.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’06” to 5’10” tall, with a medium to heavy build. He is also described as having “bushy” eyebrows and acne around the forehead. In every case the male is described as wearing a black ski type mask over the lower half of his face. In the February 24th incident the male was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with silver ends on the drawstrings, dark blue jeans and the black mask covering the lower portion of his face. The suspect also spoke English with a Spanish accent.

The suspect vehicle is described as a full sized, metallic brown/tan, SUV with tinted windows and possibly red dice hanging from the rear view mirror. One victim heard loud Hispanic music playing in the vehicle. The vehicle had a MN Plate with the letter “B” and possibly two “6’s” in the plate number.

Anyone who can provide information about these cases is asked to call Officer Eric Faulconer of the Minneapolis Police Department’s Sex Crimes unit at 612-673-2913. Anyone who sees suspicious activity occurring should immediately call 911.

This information has been disseminated to all officers in the Minneapolis Police Department and to the Minneapolis Public School District. Officers will be paying special attention to children waiting at bus stops throughout the City.

Note About 21st and Penn,

" However, when medics arrived & removed V1’s pants, there was no entry hole or exit hole in them. Officer asked V1 if he shot himself & he stated no."

So where is the gun? did he have a "friend" to pass it too?

"Inquiring Mindw want to know . . . . "

Wednesday 3/21 my wife and I were out walking in the early afternoon on 52nd around Humbolt. Heard 5 fast shots. Seemed really close. Wife starts to freak out a little, told her to remain calm and looked around. Saw no one so we kept going as if nothing happened. I dialed 911 to report and they already had someone on the way. Someone already called. Walked up to 53rd to head back to our house and saw 1 police car patrolling the neighborhood slowly and 3 squads in front of an address near the corner of 52nd and Girard.

Wife's a little nervous, she's home a lot now, she's battling breast cancer and has orders to walk ten minutes a day or so. After that her comfort level with the neighborhood is suffering. The same day, 2 people were shot a few blocks south of this location. It'll be interesting to see what next week's reports say about it.
