Doesn't matter.
He is a permit holder he has a different set of standards than non-permit holders. Although what he did wasn't against the law it should have been. It only makes sense. More laws with different sets of standards would have prevented this...... Well not more laws, just different laws.
I wonder if any of the allegedly stolen loot found in the deceased back pack was traced back to this community?

So are you saying because he had a gun he shouldn't have been doing a neighborhood watch? Or just a weapon at all? What if he had a large flashlight? Funny part about this story is that if Zimmerman had no weapon and had gotten his head bash in and became brain dead this wouldn't even be a story......

Interesting... but still doesn't change the "wait and see" for all the facts.
Zimmerman enrolled in Seminole State College in 2009, and in December 2011 he was permitted to participate in a school graduation ceremony, despite being a course credit shy of his associate's degree in criminal justice. Zimmerman was completing that course credit when the shooting occurred.
On March 22, nearly a month after the shooting and with the controversy by then swirling nationwide, the school issued a press release saying it was taking the "unusual, but necessary" step of withdrawing Zimmerman's enrollment, citing "the safety of our students on campus as well as for Mr. Zimmerman."
