A San Diego woman identifying herself as James Holmes's mother spoke briefly with ABC News this morning.
She had awoken unaware of the news of the shooting and had not been contacted by authorities. She immediately expressed concern that her son may have been involved.
"You have the right person," she said.
"I need to call the police," she added. "I need to fly out to Colorado."

Call me a tinfoil hat but it is really strange...
And the President comes out with a statement about how the Justice Dept. will get to the bottom of this even before the Colorado Governor has a chance to speak. I thought it was a local police matter first.

Although I doubt there is a massive conspiracy at work that hired this guy to commit this act today, that doesn't say that it won't be used as a reason to push it through "before there is more blood shed". I can hear it now "it is imperative we act now to preserve peace and order within our boarders." It really is for our own good that the government intercedes on our behalf.
Where are the critics, lets hear how we are all being hysterical and shouldn't overreact to the gun control afterall its for public safety - think of the children that will be protected - the innocents that will be saved if we can just get a hold of this problem - if we can save just one life, it will all be worth it - what if it were your child, wouldn't you want him/her to be safe - all the same rhetoric. Go to sleep........ go to sleep...........let the government and all the smart people fix this problem for you so you can slip into the wooley soft slumber of a life not disturbed by choices and freedom.

Don't forget the UN thing.

Not an entirely unreasonable request ... but first, if you would, what written provisions of the UN Arms Trade Treaty would benefit the U.S. and/or its citizens and/or its interests, abroad?!
