People who move to the city don't realize they don't live in Kansas anymore. Yes you must lock stuff up, keep it out of sight and people want to rob you around the lakes.

This is why we need the castle doctrine, so we can shoot those damned kids when they look like they are going to steal the valve caps on our tires...

Hmmmmm...... Weekly MnGuntalk twilight walks around the lakes?

OK! Pair off because too big a group would scare them off.... but who wears the wig and skirt? :P
8-)

Excellent idea! My house is but 4 blocks from the lake, and would make a superb base, complete with post-stroll whisky and fire pit. And careful, I look pretty good in a skirt...

So tempted to say "You wear the skirt and I'll wear the pants" but oh that would be a bad idea.

I went and said it anyway by thinking out loud, didn't I?

With that get-up, you must be from North Minneapolis?

Thought you guys would like my Ren-Fest outfit. Anyway, I'm still up for lake-walking, and grilling, fire-pitting, and ethanol-consumption after.

Count me among the attending multitudes. This could really get interesting.

Some time during the week work for you guys? Tuesday or a Wednesday night? Those would be best for me, but I might be able to wrangle a Saturday night off, instead.

Are you guys seriously going to go out strolling around looking to be assaulted by muggers who potentially have guns? Seriously (and yes, sometimes I can be serious), this is about the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time, especially if you are going to be packing. Now, I am all for Charles Bronson getting even with Jeff Goldblum in Death Wish 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, nine kinda sucked, 10, 11, 12, and the infamous 13.... but you gotta be out of your **** minds to go looking to be assaulted by armed thugs after posting messages here about doing just that. Welcome to Hennipen County Jail, you've been arrested for discharging a firearm in the city limits, entrapment, assault with a deadly weapon, discharge of a toxic substance (lead), using lead over water (depending on which way you shoot), inciting a riot, wrongful death...

Other than that, I could get into a night out wearing a skirt and think the idea could have merit. I don't get to cross dress very often. My wife tells me I am just a little too masculine :)

I was JUST JOKING! Ignore this post. Never mind. I am sorry I posted it.

John, we are suggesting nothing of the sort. All we want to do is enjoy our beautiful public lakes and parks, while innocently exercising our Constitutional rights. That's it. Afterwards, we could burn dead trees, grill dead animals, and consume dead Barleycorn.

Naturally, if trouble rears its ugly head our first reaction would be...

... to call 911 right away, if at all possible!
