Do they have jury nullification in the UK?

From what i have heard of late Witness intimidation Has a big role in society :D :D

And as for a jury it would need to go to Crown which wont happen as it is not a big enough crime so it will go to Magistrates where they will bend him over.

Had a buddy who remembered all the times the Magistrates made him take one, he saw one of the dingbats one day walk past his house and when he caught up with her he Battered her to death with a rolling Pin. He was out in 7 with good behaviour.

For what little its worth, I think it sad that a kid could be disciplined for refusing to participate in the prayer ceremony.

It was not really a prayer ceremony, but the walk through of the actions of Kneeling and standing.

The schools in England are all Church of England and they are funny about violating rights. They do the actions but dont pray as for diffrent reason it is against the ruling of the church of England. Plus the fact that the E.U.C would jump on it etc etc. Now would you watch the news or buy the paper if the Headline read

Student punished for not participating in class activity

That headline does not sell media and they have to make it sensational to sell papers.

Honestly Ace, I don't read the paper or watch the news regardless.
I like setting up my Google page so I get the news I want to read, a nice smattering from many sources... and, from a teachers perspective, I have never nor would I ever suspend or give detention for a refusal to participate. There are better ways of resolving that.

Honestly i doubt it would have been for participating, but probably he had a few choice words for the class or was disruptive. Plus the teacher is not a liberty to give and punishment out that is the job of the headmaster / Mistress and the deputy Heads not the treacher. The British Media especially the daily papers are real good and twisting stuff to sell papers and even resort to haveing topless women on the insides :o :o

Normally i read my local paper and the times and guardian and have seen nothing about this in any of the papers.
