MSN reporting that several Kindergarten children among the dead. Simply put.. WTF!

Some reports are saying 2 handguns were used. I also read one report stating a .223 rifle was used. Either way, I will be shocked if a new assault weapons ban isn't pushed hard by the left.

sounds like the killer may have murdered a parent or parents in New Jersey before carrying out the school shooting.

My heart goes out to the families of the children of that school. As for the shooter, the only appropriate punishment now that he is dead is Damnatio Memoriae. I hope the media ceases to mention his name.

Gun control isn't about rational argument. It's about emotion. 18 kindergartners killed by a guy with a Glock and a Sig. The emotion ante just got upped. Big time.

This is very tragic event and I’m sure the liberals are going to use it to further their control agenda. It is very unfortunate that someone will not take the lead and try to investigate why these animals do this and what we can do about it. People like this belong in an institution and not free in society!

If anyone could predict, to a reasonable degree of certainty, that this guy would do this, he would have been locked up. That's what civil commitment is for. Don't believe me? Ask Judge Quam in Hennepin County how many people he has committed in the past month. Doctors and therapists also have a duty to warn when there is a specific and credible threat against a person or identified group of people. Some homicidal people show no warning signs or nobody notices the warning signs they do show. That is unfortunate, but it is a fact of life.

We need to be able to defend ourselves against violent and homicidal people that slip through the cracks or go unnoticed. As the husband of a teacher that works in an elementary school, I wish my wife was allowed to carry while working. Today of all days, the need to be able to meet force with equal force should be obvious.

And if he'd of drove a Semi through a kindergarten classroom in order to drive it thru the Principles office to kill him, we should ban ALL semi tractor trailers.
