IIRC, not all that long ago, I suggested someone build a bridge, from Wisconsin to Indiana! ;)

... hmmm ... then again, I wonder if they could span it all the way to Ohio?! :?

Take the ferry across the lake to Michigan and avoid Ill and Ind both.

We did that on a family vacation when I was a kid. About the only things I remember from that trip were, the food on board was terrible and our white family station wagon must have been parked under the funnel of the ship as it came off covered with spots of soot.
I will never apologize for being an American.

The gun ban legislation is being put on hold for now for lack of bipartisan support.

Imagine that. They are also likely to have a lack of US Supreme Court support.

Lesson learned here? State and local government bodies can and will try to pass laws banning whatever they desire, Constitutional rights be damned! Glad to see that some cooler (smarter) heads in IL stopped this stupid law.

Next time another shooting makes headlines, it'll be back.
