Yeah, I love FF. I'm with xd9-if they had groceries I'd be one stop shopping all the way. Oh, and reloading supplies 8-)
Remember, gun control is not about guns, it's about control.

For them, all guns are evil, and they have every intention of coming after every single one of them. Don't confuse this round with their ultimate goal. Today it's the "assault weapons". After that it will be the "sniper rifles". After that it will be any "multi-projectile" weapons (shotguns), etc. etc. They will continually find a way to demonize the next category of weapon, and then target it.

Ya know something that will stick out to my generation and younger is the video game violence and such and how its limiting the first amendment and how dare you attack the thing that takes us our of our *********** reality and lets us blow **** up :o

Here's the ****ing deal. Parents need to step away from the tvs and video games themselves and quit using this **** as babysitting devices when it comes to their kids and start being their parents. teach them something. Make them realize that being outside and doing real work and playing in the sun and snow and rain like most of us did as kids is ok. Be their damn mentor. That's the major problem with games and tv in my opinion. I spend alot of time on the computer every day. It's part of my job and i am on it at home too damn much too working on side projects. If you read forums, chances are you are on yours too much too. But I'll be dammed if the TV and video games are teaching my kids anything about life, violence or guns. You wanna know what my kids were doing last night with me?? Detail stripping their first 1911 and cleaning rust off of the small parts. it's crappy out, so they get to be occupied with dad. As soon as this spawn of satan flu/cold crap goes away we will be back outside in some capacity. /rant

It would help get hunters on our side if the shotgun and hunting rifle were targeted.

Single shot muzzleloaders are going to be hot sellers in the coming years! Start stocking up on flints and gun powder!

They're actually pretty sexy looking, wouldn't mind having one in the collection.

Actually, having the anti's go after the hunters weapons would be the single best thing that could happen IMO. Right now hunters that are not farmiliar with the MSR don't feel that gun controls proposed right now are a threat.

Instead, we need to see any erosion of a firearms right as an erosion to all firearms. The anti's are not stupid in their mission. They have realized that picking away piece by piece is far easier and effective in the long term than an all out grab.

Yep:
I agree on all points.
They will attempt to divide and conquer, and then conquer again, later when there are none to divide.

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

Back in the 60's that text, in it's original context was a poster made by the American Civil Liberties Union.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

First they came for the ARs
and I didn’t speak out because I had other guns.

Then they came for the high capacity magazines,
and I didn’t speak out because I wanted to keep my guns.

Then they came for all semi-automatics,
and I didn’t speak out because I had a revolver.

Then they came for my revolver,
and I couldn’t speak out because I’d lost my ability to speak.

I'd edit it to:

First they came for the ARs
and I didn’t speak out because I had other guns.

Then they came for the high capacity magazines,
and I didn’t speak out because I wanted to keep my guns.

Then they came for all semi-automatics,
and I didn’t speak out because I had a deer rifle.

Then they came for "sniper rifles",
and I didn't speak because I had a shotgun.

Then they came for "street-sweepers",
And I didn't speak out because I had a revolver.

Then they came for my revolver,
and I couldn’t speak out because I’d lost my ability to speak.

Congressman Rick Nolan's viewpoint on the subject displays both a lack of understanding of firearms as well as the 2nd Amendment. The viewpoint on 2A of the framers of the Constitution is well-documented and it's not about hunting, it's about governmental tyranny. And the Supreme Court has already weighed in. If you can't trust your Congressman with the 2nd Amendment, how can you trust him with the rest of the Constitution?

Very valid point. Maybe he's making a better argument than I first thought.
