Has anyone else noticed that almost every shooting, anywhere is now making national news? It's almost as if the press wants to make it look like gun violence has reached epidemic levels.

Unfortunately, yes. They're clearly trying to demonize guns / gun owners.

Just figured I'd throw this up since it's getting international coverage already.

Not "almost."

They ARE wanting to make it look like gun violence is at an all time high, when in fact it's far lower than it was 30 years ago.

It is a part of the New Amerika (spelling intentional). The 4th branch of government (the mainstream media AKA the office of propaganda) is busy pushing the agenda of the POTUS to try and fuel the anti-gun movement.

This is very deliberate, and the Democrats in Congress/Senate, the White House, and the Media are all working together to do their parts to see the leftwing agenda pushed through.

This is why it is so important for us to bombard our representatives and senators who are closer to the fence on the issue. We have a large enemy cranking out quite a lot of misinformation, and we need to work overtime to compensate for that fact.

Sadly, it seems that no one in the media will state the painfully obvious fact that is consistent amongst many of the latest shootings.....many are happening in "safe" zones that ban guns to begin with.

Another thing not mentioned is that a lot of these killers are on antidepressants and other psych medicines.

One of the "victims" had a heart attack. We really need to ban those - they kill way more people than guns. :roll:

Please stop using analogies that compare deaths to the individual with deaths caused to other people. If we're going to strip out suicide deaths from the handgun homicide rate, then we can't use stupid arguments like banning heart attacks, cars or spoons.

Valid analogies are things like alcohol (drunk driving homicides) or second hand smoke (both which kill FAR more people than guns, on a per capita and absolute number). The only thing the bad analogies do is make the community look dumb.
