Milwaukee County Sheriff on CNN, repeats "buy a gun"

Sounds like Soledad O'Brien about had a stroke. Gee, this Milwaukee Sheriff wasn't invited to the White House this morning for an intimate chat with the President and some other police chiefs/sheriffs.......I wonder why not?

"Once the wolf is at the door. Once the intruder is inside your home. Once you're on the street and someone sticks a gun in your face to take your car or your wallet, you don't have the option of calling 911," Clarke responded.

Clarke said he just wants to give citizens options of how to defend themselves.

It's been said before, but rank and file LEOs know this and like armed citizens. It's the political higher ups that have lost touch with reality if they hover had touch with it to begin with. This is a breath of fresh air because it is a higher up telling us what all their subordinates would say.

I agree, your first line of defense is yourself when someone breaks in. Criminals takes seconds to break in, it takes longer for a 911 operater to send help. Technically peace officers are the third line of defense.
