LaRue Says No More Sales To LEOs In Ban States.

Now if only more big name companies would do the same.

From their Facebook page

NEWS RELEASE:
02/08/2013 LEANDER, TX.

Updated Policy for State and Local Agency Law Enforcement Sales:

Due to the recent and numerous new Anti-gun/Anti-2nd Amendment laws passed and/or pending across our country, LaRue Tactical has been forced to reconsider how we provide products to state and local agencies.

Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

State and local laws have always been a serious focus of this firm, and we are now dovetailing that focus with the constitutional rights of the residents covered in their different areas by the old and new regulations.

We realize this effort will have an impact on this firm's sales - and have decided the lost sales are less danger to this firm than potential lawsuits from erroneous shipments generated by something as simple as human error.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Mark LaRue

The Feds have nothing to do with state bans.

There are 3 branches of the federal government and thus far 2 are still on our side. One just barely.

Either way, it calls attention to the place that needs the attention right now.

Are the LEO's in MN 'weighing in' and pushing for more gun control?

Hell Yea LaRue!!! How awesome would it be to see every firearm manufacture in the industry take the same stance. Nothing against LE, but if we can't get them......Neither should you.

I'd be more impressed if he restricted Fed/Mil as well. It's likely his bread and butter though.

Especially if it's a fed law that passes.

But Kudo's to him for standing up.

There were plenty of individual LEOs testifying on "our" side at the hearings.

There is nothing they make that is currently limited by federal law.

Gonna argue semantics, feel free.

But if they pass an AWB or a magazine capacity ban, then it is.

If it's prohibited from purchasing a newly manufactured weapon, it IS in essence a ban.

Could you REALLY afford to go out and purchase an NFA firearm outside of a trust or corperation.
http://www.autoweapons.com/products/products.html

New firearm sales are banned. In essence creating a special class for LEO / Gov't / military.

And with the latest round, "assault weapons" as coined by select politicians and media will be in that same class.

It's semantics.

And if you are ok with that, then you are part of the problem as well.
