The lack of respect for anyone or anything is unbelievable. The old immigrants had to adapt to there new environment in order to survive, in today's society especially here in MN we bend over backs and take it up the ass for these individuals and they have adapted to take advantage of there situation. I can not specifically speak for minneapolis south but in other schools with a somalia population in my subject area of nearly 40%. 90% of them couldn't even read. but you can bet your life that they know to work the system in order to get anything they want. pretty sad when you think about. One bright spot, ive been in alot of really good public schools however none of them where in the 7 county metro. I stated the somalia fact because in the video you can clearly see who is instigating situation at South and in the news interviews the students giving interviews were of somalia decent and they were claiming racial discrimination. So if there's any trolls out there that would love to battle me on this... plz bring it on

I once had an interesting discussion with a gentleman who immigrated from Cameroon as an adult. While it was not his desire or intention, he was not at all accepted as an African or American by native born "African-Americans"

Private schools can be just as bad as the public schools but in a different way. They don't throw the bad asses out either.
Exactly. They (parents) pay huge amounts of money to send them there.

Not so nowadays.

I hope your not an English teacher! (If so, maybe that's why these kids can't read?) I think it's a bit ironic that your putting down foreigners for not being able to read, you have a teaching license and aren't familiar with basic grammar. I'm not proclaiming to be a grammar master, nor do I usually like the "grammar Nazis" on the internet, but I'm also not bashing foreigners for not being able to read.
"I" should be capitalized when referring to yourself. Minneapolis and Somalia should both be capitalized. There are no such words as "ive" or "alot", it should be "I've" and "a lot". When you use the phrase "take advantage of there situation", the word your looking for is "their". Not only did you not capitalize the beginning of this sentence, "pretty sad when you think about it.", it's not even a complete sentence, what's pretty sad?
So next time you want to put some people down for not being edjumacated as good as yous is, maybe if you use some proper grammar, you won't look like such a racist.

It bears repeating.
True assimilation is GENERATIONAL. The norm is NOT "instant" American.
