Ex-LT: Glad someone caught the "garage" reference at the end of my post.

The funny thing - that's not what prompted my post - it was river_boater's reference to the John Birch Society.

I geuss any group that does not like the current US Goverments agenda is on that list.

Pretty-much. I was surprised to see the Oath Keepers on there, but not at all now that I think about it. I think .gov wants agents it can count on to enforce the will of the state rather than uphold the rights of the people.

I was also a little surprised to see the John Birch Society on there also.

The letter is clearly a political attempt by an authoritative and public figure and institution to discredit, intimidate and silence those who would otherwise advocate and protect their civil rights under the 2A. The irony (without knowing specifics about the groups) is that the "patriot" groups are apparently exercising and advocating their constitutional rights just as the founders would have intended.
