We should offer up some light rail or high speed train plans to save their economy.

i am happy that these manufacturers are voting with their feet to move their facilities elsewhere. Only problem with that is where to go? Which states are going to raise their hand and declare that what is happening all over the place with gun control legislation isn't going to happen here?

Also, the cost to move a large scale manufacturing facility is nothing to sneeze at. I think there may be some ripple on supply and price coming that will exacerbate the issue. The un-intended/intended consequence may very well serve the Anti's overall agenda of disruption of the supply chain and exhorbitant cost to bar entry of new gun owners. I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but the seeds are there.

I doubt that gun laws are even the big issue on the table. Its just the straw that is breaking the camel's back.

I have family that lives out east. The labor and employment laws out there make ours look benign. Add taxation, and moving to a low tax, less regulated, pro business climate makes a lot of sense to them. The folks looking for government to help them way outnumber the folks that want government to just stay out of the way on the eastern seaboard... and eventually they take from everyone to get the new squeaky wheel's oil.

Beretta put a factory in MD (from Italy) to get the US DOD contracts. Now that they are in, they want the plant where it will maximize revenue. Pretty simple.
