So if you bring a squirt gun to school your in trouble, I wonder what would happen if you brought an old windex bottle full of water to school? Would that be considered a "gun" LOL

Hmmmmm, good point. While a bottle of Windex does not look like a gun (well it sorta does) it has the exact same operating mechanism as a squirt gun. Kinda like a Remington 742 "hunting" rifle has the same operating mechanism as an AR 15.
Honestly, all this debate over guns is ridiculous. The real threat to our society is DiHydrous Monoxide. Do you know how many lives have been placed in danger or ended because of this menace?
