I thik there is a 5 drone limit with a possession limit of 10 drones. You have to keep one of the rotors in tact....................

Looking at just the application of it, not legality of it. How could they possibly prove a hunter was in violation of a game laws. It's not gonna happen.

Duck hunters in a blind in March?

Deer hunters in a tree stand out of season?

And I don't think they'd personally confront the people (well, the wacky ones might), but a nice call to TIPS can probably help catch quite a few poachers.

That's too easy, problem areas like that the local CO's are already aware of it and I doubt PETA would know. They like to harass hunters during the hunting season and that's how they make news. The point is, it's very unlikely they would spot some random hunting violation.

You're right, it's not very likely. It would be much better if groups like Pheasants Unlimited or Ducks Unlimited ran things like this.

PETA is doing this for marketing purposes, of course. I assumed everyone here already knew that. ;-)

Ingrid Newkirk, president of PETA, made her position clear: Slob hunters may need to rethink the idea that they can get away with murder, alone out there in the woods with no one watching.

In MN, I'd be looking at THIS statute.

https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/?id=609.595

609.595 DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
Subdivision 1.Criminal damage to property in the first degree. Whoever intentionally causes damage to physical property of another without the latter's consent may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than five years or to payment of a fine of not more than $10,000, or both, if:
...
(3) the damage reduces the value of the property by more than $1,000 measured by the cost of repair and replacement; or
...
In any prosecution under clause (3), the value of any property damaged by the defendant in violation of that clause within any six-month period may be aggregated and the defendant charged accordingly in applying the provisions of this section; provided that when two or more offenses are committed by the same person in two or more counties, the accused may be prosecuted in any county in which one of the offenses was committed for all of the offenses aggregated under this paragraph.

I'd be more worried about them staging an incident using their own people, then televising it as proof of hunters poaching out of season.

not to split hairs here, but Hunters are Hunters and when they cross the line they become Poachers. The idea I get from that article is the PETA people don't distinquish between the two. Anyone killing an animal is reprehensible to them and someone that should be stopped.

I wonder who speaks for the inhumane treatement of the Patchouli plants who are mercilessly wrung out for their oil and who speaks for the Marijuana plants who's buds are cold heartedly plucked - I hear them screaming....oh the injustice of it is a crime - all for the use of these stinky self righteous hippies............there ought to be a law..................dagnabbit...........

They don't like people killing animals...unless it's in their "shelters" in which they kill well over 80% of the animals taken in.

Is it legal? The OP refers to illegal activity.

In some state's it's not legal.

I think Iowa wanted to make it illegal, to protect pig farmers from people knowing what they are doing. Which is dumb on so many levels.
