Then I just thought sad...

That said, I'm glad I wasn't his neighbor or on the road with him.

I'm just curious as to why an otherwise great guy would be reading the Trib? The sooner they fold the better.

He stole a van and was driving around drunk, so yeah. You can put whatever you want on a facebook page, but that doesn't make him a good person.

I've got 3 sons that are nearly that age, some older some younger. Nobody "deserves" that. Sounds like he needed a swift kick in the ass by some parents, now they won't have the chance.

Not to mention.

Kirgiss’ criminal history in Minnesota since 2009 includes convictions for fleeing police, aiding and abetting robbery, check forgery, theft and drug possession.

Sounds like a scumbag to me.

I'd put it another way.

After reading the newspaper account of this incident and his record, and looking at the public photos on his facebook account, I am not surprised that he met a violent end.

And, I am very thankful that the LEO whose squad he ran into head-on was not run-over instead.

We lost officer Silvera from the Lino Lakes PD about 7 years ago in a situation like this where someone tries to miss the stop sticks and does not care about anyone else.

Nobody DESERVES to die for robbery, forgery, or drugs. But if they are a murderer, then all bets are off. JMO

We all choose our own destiny to one degree or another. I'll neither celebrate nor morn his demise.

No, no one deserves to die, I never said he did deserve to die. But when you live a certain lifestyle of drugs, theft, and dubauchery, you can't expect him to end up living to a ripe ol' age.

And I am glad that he didn't take anyone else's life, it's almost a maricle he didn't kill one of the officers or an innocent.

I don't hope or celebrate anyone losing their life. No matter what happens. Except murders thou.

Each victim has innocent families & friends who suffer from their death. I feel for them.
